Compostable Bioplastic Feedstock
plantCarb Compostable Bioplastic Feedstock is a special starch granulate containing more than 90% amylose and only up to 10% amylopectin. The extreme level of amylose (normal level about 25%) makes it particularly well suited to production of extruded bioplastic films aided by a suitable plasticizer.
Compared to film based on native starch, films based on plantCarb Compostable Bioplastic Feedstock has 50% better strain capacity – and 600% better break stress ability.
plantCarb Compostable Bioplastic Feedstock is fully biodegradable in nature in accordance with international standards (ISO 14855, ISO 17556, ISO 19679).
plantCarb Compostable Bioplastic Feedstock secures a 66% reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emission compared to other biobased bioplastic feedstocks.
